This page will allow you to test your Digital Camera's shutter lag as follows:

1. Without pre-focus

• Turn your camera flash off
• Focus on the rotating image
• Take the picture just as the arrow is crossing the 0 at the top
• View the picture and record the time in seconds in the recorded image which is your shutter lag time

2. With pre-focus

• Turn your camera flash off
• Focus on the rotating image
• Depress your shutter halfway to pre-focus the camera
• Take the picture just as the arrow is crossing the 0 at the top
• View the picture and record the time in seconds in the recorded image which is your shutter lag time when pre-focusing

The time with pre-focusing should be less than when not pre-focused.
